Just go to see the scene's and songs 'Yuga Yugagale Sagali-Review

Shashnkaraj has often assisted actor-director Ravichandran who is credited with telling love stories in innovative ways. In many interviews, he has said that learning under such a master gave him the courage to direction. But in his directional debut Yuga Yugagale Sagali, Shahankarfails miserably. The movie is nothing but a shattered mirror and there is hardly anything to ‘look' for.

There is barely any story to tell. Shashi(Yashas) and Swathi (Megha Ghosh) are college mates and they eat in 90 minutes of the movie just to fall in love. Post the interval, they realize that their families have a longstanding history of enmity. All this is told via a lengthy flashback. So the couple runs away and tries to build a life together in the forests near Madikeri. Very soon Swathi's brother finds them and attacks them with his henchmen. There are only two possibilities for the climax, either a happy one or a tragic one. Of course, neither makes a difference to a movie with such run of the mill story line.

Yashas can be a chocolate boy hero, only if he works hard to hone his acting skills. It's hard to find scenes in the movie where he manages to impress the audience. Megha looks good but has same drawbacks as that of the hero. Theirs is no chemistry betweenthe two either.

Two songs penned and scored by Hamsalekha are hummable but vanish from memory once you leave the theatre. Shashnkaraj has tried to pictures few songs in the movies a la mentor Ravichandran but the package looks bad as he fails to synchronise the elements in them.

Even some sensible acting by Ananth Nag, as the hero's father, fails to life the movie's standard. Sharat Lohitasva, who was in great demand after his recent success in Aa Dinagalu hardly has a chance to deliver. Rangayana Raghu is limited to two to three shots.

The college scene where some students enter a ladies' toilet is a bad taste.
