Sure we can expect from new things from Girish Kasaravalli, we can expect
same thing from his new movie 'Gulabi Talkies' too.
The story is based on Vydhehi's short story, but for the requirements of film, few changes added without failing to keep the main theme.
The story is based on the women, who faces many problems, like problems faced which is created by a money greedy husband, religion which restricts women to do more things,.....etc., It continuous, Umashri in a lead role has done her part neatly, which made her to get a award too. This is her life's good performed film.
Girish Kasaravalli scores 95% marks, but second part seems boring, but it can be exempted. As said Umashri is good, other characters like K. G. Krishnamurthy, MD. Pallavi, done their work awfully. Camerawork, gets full marks.
Sure not to be missed by people who are feed up with commercial films.
Just watch not for entertainment, but for the sake of knowing the human
values, especially related to women, who serves the world.
