GANDANA MANE- Review

Director S. Mahendar sentimental family story has a powerful message. He has deftly depicted how a bus conductor faces humilation from his family for supporting his wife who married him for his simplicity. Though the first half is lively. The second half drags on a bit with unnecessary sequences and fights.

Raja(Shivarjkumar) an honest bus conductor marries Priya(Gowri), the daughter of, Sitharam(Avinash), a rich business man, when Priya and Raja try to get settled in lfie through good financial planning, Raja is suddenly saddled with the responsibility of taking loan for his step-brothers education.

His greedy step-mother(Ashalatha) even lands up in Raja’s house after selling her house in the village. Soon, she starts to pick fights with Priya for silly reasons. Raja and Priya go through bad patch and Priya even leans Raja to go back to her father’s house. But she evenacutually relaise that Gandana Mane, (Husband's House) is where she belongs and decides to reunite with Raja. It is a treat to watch Shivarajkumar’s brilliant acting. Gowri is excellent and Avinash is in fine form. B.A Madhu’s dialogues camerawork by Sundarnath Suvarna are added attractions. V. Manohar’s music is a pleasant.
