Movie :Satya In Love [2008]
This season seems to be favouring established leading men who had fallen on bad times. After Gaja and Goooli became the much needed hits for Darshan and Sudeep, Satya in Love, might jut do the same for Shiva Rajkumar. Despite the ridiculous wig, Shiva Rajkumar manages to romance the charming Genelia convincingly. Debut director Raghava Loki knows a trick or two to keep the audience engaged. The film does not tell what Satya (ShivaRajkumar) does for a living. His only business in the film is to love Vedavati(Genelia). It is love at first sight for him during a visit to Manthralaya. Half the film he tries to trace her, finally going to Karnool where Vedavati resides. It so happens that Vedavati's father and brothers guards her fiercely from other men. Satya, who has never met her face to face, has the challenge of convincing here of his love and at the same time escape the wrath of her family. And he manages to do that. It's possible only in film, right? Scenes involving the leading lady's family have dialogues in Telugu. Since there are no sub-titles it is hard to follow if you are not familiar with the languages. The stunts and song sequences are a treat to watch with rich locations and sets. The film is perfect for Shiva Rajkumar's fans. Even if you are not one, the film does not disappoint.
