*1/2 out of 5 Movie:
Nanda Deepa
[2008] Old
Story for new generation: Review Kannada Film Industry people know exactly what the inner soul of Kannadigas, but they misuse, the souls of people. The main inner soul of people is ‘Sentiment’ nothing else sometimes they may change. This
week’s ‘Nandadeepa’ has too the old sentimental touch. He is
Naganna (Davraj) who sells pearls and precious stones by travelling to
many places, when his wife Shantha (Shruthi) dies due to a small
situation. Their son Ramu (Manoj) will be in need of a mother’s love.
Then Naganna gets marry with Maya (Sanjana) who seems like a ‘maya’
lady, she wil ignore Ramu, and treats him as a servant. Travelling of
Naganna motivates Maya to have extra marital affair with neighbour,
which will be known to Ramu, but he will not leak the secrets. Then same
old film climax you sure will watch. Director Shivu Hiremath
should’ve mad the script strongly, when watching the movie, audience
will be reminded about old Kannada movies. We should say thanks to
producer for his dareness to spend huge money on this film. Devraj and
Shruthi are made for the characters, Sanjan as a stepmother worked for
the paid amount. Child actor Manoj, who is a litter singer in a TV
program, has did the chracter neatly. Others are just for …?…. Apart from the above-mentioned thing there is nothing to say about the film. You need to watch the film if you have no work to do.
