2007- A year to Kannada Film Industry

“Is this a Kannada film industry”? This type of words were common to the Kannada Film Industry, the reason is Kannada Films released in the year 2007 were all his for a maximum extent some of the few films were flop but nearly 80% of the Kannada Films were crossed 50, 75, 100 days, and of course, ‘Mungaru Male' is also a big hit but it was released in the year 29 th December, 2006, but the hit was gone to uncontrollable extent in 2007.

There are 95 Kannada Films were released but the fact is that the Kannada Film with huge efforts have got the capacity to face competition with other regional languages like, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu. 2006 was a terrible year for Kannada film industry, because all the maximum films released were a great flop. Now, 2008 was come, new talents was already had been seen the films prepared by new talents. This was a great break to the industry as 2007 has given us a new talents in the fields like Music, Acting, Direction, Choreography, story writer, script writer, lyrics writers…..ahhhh and what not?

In the field of acting all of them known that Golden Star Ganesh was a gift to us from Kannada Audience, Ganesh's Film ‘Mungaru Male' was grabbed 7 state awards, and other TV awards, not only this it also screened in Europe country, which was the first Kannada Movie to be screened in that place. Mungaru Male's songs, lyrics, music, direction, story, script….etc., was a important aspect to the winning of the movie, which was run for more than 10 months, due to the hit of this movie big banner movies was not reached to hoped extent.

Some of the actors, actress come from U2 Kannada Music channel. Now the demand to work in U2 has been increased.

In the same acting field Vijay was given to us by his hit movie “Duniya”, Prem was also an another damn super actor, not only 3 great stars but other new talents wre like Dynamic Hero Devaraj's song Prajval Devraj, Adhi Lokesh, ….etc., nearly 75 hero's were have been in the Kannada Films including old and new actors.

In the actress field we lost Rakshita where she married director Prem and was taken VRs from acting, Ramya was a talented girl but due to her negligence on Kannada Films and interested in other languages she went to Tamil and Telugue film industry, Radhika was also a good actor but having illegal affair with a minister she had gained huge illegal property and caught by Income Tax officials later she come to film through “Ananatharu” it was a un-knowingly a greeeat flop. But I'm happy to say to your people is we got nearly 100's of new talented actress which is a good future to the film industry, some of them are Manya, Ramanithu Chowdry, and others.

In other fields like direction we got Yograj Bhat with his film Mungaru Male, Sudeep as a director with #73 Shanthinivasa, Director Sachin from his film Ekadantha, others, and names goes…….. Choreographers, story writers, lyric writers were some of the new talents in the field.

Films released in 2007 was a good movies, old stars were tried to keep up their reputation but failed to some extent. Example like Sudeep came with #73 Shanthinivasa but it was a great flop, Upendr, Darshan, Sadhu Kokila made Ananatharu, producer Munirathna become Anantha(Poor man), Arasu was Dr. Raj's more hoped movie this was not made as expected. Tiger Prabhakar's son came with Circle Rowdy it was also showed the result, E-preethi onthara was a mischievously good movie but due to the misunderstanding between producer and actress Manya it was failed to win.

Ekandantha was also a expected fun movie in 2007 but a comedial story was accepted by audience, Kshana Kshan was a good curios movie but it too failed, Manmatha a good movie from Jaggesh was too failed, Ugadi was also a unconditionally expected film because Telegu actor Srikanth was acted but it was also flopped in Karnataka.

Magic Brothers Kallesh and Sai Sagar came with Thimma but no one asked who is this Thima, Tayiya Madilu was said to be last film of Rakshitha as a actress but this too flopped, Shivrajkumars Santha failed, Adhi Lokesh's Poojarifloped, Mathud mathadu Mallige was in the list and other big banner films.

Pallaki, Milana, Geleya…..were some of the films where axceptation was more but was not made good as expected by the people. Ninadhe Nenapu was also a good film from Madan Patel but failed due to the time negligence from the him, Ah Deenagalu was a movie based on Agni Sridhar's novel, but due to good songs from Illayaraja it was also to be considered as a hit movie, Orata I Love You !, was also a hit movie. At the end of the year Preethi Yeke Bhoomi Melidhe? Has been released let's see how it changes Prem's life.

Coming to fights and freights in Kannada Film Industry, S. Narayan was angry on Duniya Vinay due to the release of Yuga and Chanda film, finally S. Narayan was won the match because he have the capacity to purchase the film chamber !?. other miscellaneous like producer was come out of his own film due to fight with director and move to produce another film, this was common in all industry's other gossips in and around Kannada film stars like Ganesh, Vijay, Prem, Rakshitha, S. Narayan, Darshan, Puneet… and others.

In 2007 as per our record 180 film names have been registered, due to the hit of Mungaru Male, some of the films were stopped in middle, in the month October itself 112 names have been registered with film chamber, new TV channels have been started for the welfare of the film industry they are Asian net Suvarna, Kasthuri Kannada some of the local channels started. TV channels were also responsible for the hit of the movies in Karnataka some of the important channels like Udaya TV, E-TV, Zee TV, TV9, U2, Suvarna, and Kasturi were made their efforts.
