Kannada movie star Vishnuvardhan literally jumped off an Air-India flight bound for Hyderabad on August 4, as fear of flying (aviophobia) gripped him just as the plane was about to take off. Vishnuvardhan, his wife Bharathi vishnuvardhan and K. Manju were flying for the 53 rd South Filmfare Awards in Hyderabad . Vishnuvardhan suffers from fear of flying. It is a phobia that is not always evident and Vishuvardhan has traveled many times by air. But on August 4, the phobia returned and he made a hasty retreat from the flight. ‘As the airplane was ready for takeoff, Vishnu sir had a giddy feeling. The plane had started its run when we realized that he was not in a position to fly. We requested the flight attendants who immediately informed the pilot. The flight was immediately stopped and all three of us got down. By the time we were on the tarmac, doctors had arrived. It was only phobia and nothing else,' said Manju. Vishnuvardhan and wife Bharathi Vishnuvardhan were the chief guest from Karnataka for the Filmfare awards this time. The two along with close confidant and producer K Manju arrived at the airport on August 4 morning. ‘Vishnuvardhan has traveled by air before, even on long distance flights to foreign locations for film shooting. You never know when the phobia sets in. it is not a big issue. But it is scary for the person who has phobia attacks,' added Manju. What is Aviophobia: Anxiety is caused in a significant number of people when traveling by air. A heightened sense of anxiety making a person unable to travel by air is ‘fear of flying' or aviophobia. The phobia causes distress in the person who is obligated to fly. At around 10:30 pm , the producer arrived for a private party at the club. As it was late, he instructed his driver to have dinner at the club. However, the security guards stopped Suresh's driver and two other drivers from entering the club as they were wearing hawai slippers. At this, Suresh argued with the staff members who insisted on following rules. “Driver are not allowed inside the club. Moreover, they were wearing hawai slippers. That is against club rules. The management will serve us a memo if we do not enforce rules. Our dress code doesn't even permit collarless T-shirts,” Century Club officials told us on condition of anonymity. “The staff members were plain arrogant. As it was late at night, they should have handled the situation better. The drivers were ill-treated and manhandled. I agree that club rules must be followed. But their behavior on Saturday night was inhuman,” Suresh told. Suresh, known for his block buster flick ‘Excuse-me', said that his driver was reduced to tears on being humiliated. “I was there for a private party but didn't feel like staying back after the incident. Manmatha (Kannada) (drama) Cast: Jaggesh, Gurlyn Chopra, Komal Direction: Rajesh Fernandes Jaggesh fans will be surprised. Director Rajesh Fernandes
should know that Jaggesh's forte are his mannerisms, body language and
dialogue delivery. In Manmatha , the director has him playing a physically
challenged character -- a role which hardly exploits his talent in this love
story. Puttaswamy (Jaggesh), who manages runs a telephone booth,
falls in love with Lakshmi (Gurlyn Chopra), a visually impaired girl. He
works hard and saves money for an operation to restore her sight. Puttaswamy
wants Lakshmi to see him first after the operation, but when he comes to the
ward he finds her with Surya (Jaggesh again). Puttaswamy is shocked and goes
away. In reality, Lakshmi wrongly assumes Surya to be Puttaswamy and hugs
him. Surya, on his part, develops a soft spot for Lakshmi, as she has been
given his deceased lover Priya's eyes. When Lakshmi comes to know the truth,
she longs to see Puttaswamy who had left the village in disgust. After
several twists and turns, Puttaswamy and Lakshmi are reunited. It is difficult to watch Jaggesh in a handicapped
person's role which he struggles to execute. Gurlyn is good. But it is Komal
as a marriage broker who outshines all other characters. Ramesh Babu's
camerawork is impressive. Venkatesh Prasad has penned some catchy dialogues.
Music by Vijayabharathi is average.

For full three hours of the film Darshan and Uppi were standing and they watched the film. And can you believe that some people in the industry had spread rumors about the differences between me and Darshan. Even a new comer like Prajwal was emotional after seeing the film and was in tears when he explained in detail as to why he liked the film. All the artists in the film were here to show that they were with me. And the way they showed concern to promote my clean film was really fantastic' says Sudeep. Sudeep is sure that his film is bound to stabilize in the days to come and hopes that the media will support him in a big way. Cheluvina Chiththaara directed by Kannada film industry's well known writer -director S.Narayan, does not bring him any credit or can enhance the status of the hot shot actor Ganesh who is now in his peak in the Kannada film industry. The film is a remake of Tamil Hit Kaadal directed by Balaji Shaktivel which was supposed to have been based on a real life incident. Unfortunately, the Kannada remake version does not have the native feel and every sequence of Cheluvina Chiththaara very much looks like the Tamil film. Cheluvina Chiththaara lacks the authenticity portrayed in the original Tamil film, as for the Kannada audience some of the sequences may look unreal. Narayan's intention to follow the original has affected the Kannada film which does not have the feel of the local ethos. The climax scene and the sequences which lead to the climax sequence of the film may not go well with the Kannada film audience, and it may well look too crude. Here goes the story...Maadesha works as a mechanic in a garage. He is liked by an innocent school going girl who is the daughter of a local don. Maadesha is deeply in love with the girl and both of them decide to get married. They elope from the town and even get married. Later the gang members of the don are in search of the couple. The lovers are lured by the uncle of the girl and they are taken back to the Don. An enraged Don beats up Maadesha and even takes out the Thali of his daughter to forcibly marry her to a person engaged earlier. After a gap of two years the girl traces a mentally retarded Maadesh. Later on the girl is made to unite with Maadesha by her husband who takes away the child. Ganesh has given a decent performance as Maadesha, but for many of his fans who have seen him performing comedy it may be difficult to accept him in a tragic role. The director has been able to extract some work from the film's new heroine Amoolya who definitely needs to improve if she has to climb up the ladder in the industry. Komal has once again excelled in the friend's role. And Kaadal Dhandapaani plays the same role he had played in the Tamil film. Narayan introduced a new villain Lingenahalli Suresh Chandra who has performed with ease. Mano Murthy's music is focused more on melody and two songs are definitely pleasing for years. The work in other technical departments is of high quality. Cheluvina Chiththaara will certainly go well among the family audience as it is clean and natural. But its success or otherwise is certainly linked to the level of acceptance of the last few reels of the film.
